Bradd Johnson

Well i feel that i must return the favour.

I first met Bradd through the Pandas when he joined us in celebrating a victory at the Lapstone Hotel. The next season he was deemed worthy to don a Pandas guernsey of his very own. Not just any jersey but the famed number 7. I feel he was a fantastic addition to the team as held the 2 key attributes of a great Panda, talented on the field and a willing attendee at the pub.

Then we move to the touch footy field and despite supporting the Roosters he actually can play. With 2 tries last night he showed what he can do and it is only rarely that he is stood up.

Despite bad taste on the footy field he knows quality on the soccer pitch as he will never walk alone in his support of the European Champions Liverpool FC and his willingness to support the mighty socceroos.

So to any of you ladies out there Bradd would make a great catch. There would never be a dull moment. He can dance like Napolean Dynamite and Im sure he'd be glad to share his tots with that special someone.

RMAW - The Excitement is Growing!

Due to the many tears shed and reports that the Australian cricket teams is imposing a form slump due to my lack of posts I have decided to make a glorious return to the world of blogging.

RMAW is less than a week away. For those who dont know, RMAW stands for Rural Ministry Awareness Weekend. So far we havent filled all the seats so if you are reading this and you havent signed up - you are sinning and Gods punishment is always just. Infer what you want from that (please note that it is only God who can judge so i hope you weren't judging me - thanks EU Romans studies).

Anyway I think that part of the reason for the slow response is that RMAW is hard to pronounce. Its definitely no Ancon or Club Veg or even FWA - maybe we should have gone with WARM - weekend of awareness of rural ministry. Think of the advertising possibilities - Come and get WARM etc. Ill stop there cause they would only get worse.

The other reason is that word must have got out that i am organising bus activities. I feel i should take this opportunity to defend myself and state that there will be no speed dating - only get to know you activities.

Anyway i have most of the fun planned already for the the many hours on the bus but i thought id open it up to comments on:

1. Bus Activities - no one will laugh at the suggestion of speed dating
2. Movies/DVDs to watch
3. Reasons for not going to RMAW
4. Pros and Cons of numbering points
5. How many questions are too many questions
6. Reasons why my jokes are so bad
7. Writing stuff for the sake of writing stuff

Peace out guys

Greek is Finished!!!

Everyone that knows me, knows how much of a bugger studying ancient greek has been for me this semester. This was my token arts subject, something different from maths and stats, whilst still being fun and most importantly a bit of a bludge.

Wrong choice - not only was it not a bludge but it was more work than all my subjects put together. It pretty much became the norm to see me up in terrace with the greek books out getting stuff done or preparing for the next class. Always on the lookout for my partner in crime, Grant, the only person who truelly knew the struggle i was enduring. If you were lucky enough to catch the train with me, conversation was 2nd place to some study. I even passed on a few choice phrases to those lucky few who spent too much time with my cramming.

Then end of semester came - and not soon enough - as it meant the end of new stuff to take in. However it meant all the stuff i should have known was soon to be examined.
So during one my 2 favourite weeks of the year - stuvac - i became a recluse and engrossed myself in greek.

And here is the result

GRKA1001 - Ancient Greek - 69% - Credit

I am absolutely stoked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not only did i pass, but i went well.
Awesome feeling - now only one subject to sweat on the result of.

Greek is over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unless i end up at college - no dont think about it.
